Adjudication & Security of Payment Forms
These are RICS DRS examples of the essential forms for both claimants and respondents referred to throughout the Adjudication Knowledge-base.
The adjudication process in both Queensland and New South Wales requires both the claimant and respondent to utilise a variety of forms that require to adhere to the relevant legislative provisions. The following table provides access to a number of forms that you can download for your own use.

BCIPA Flowcharts
We have developed these flow charts to put the regulations in a practical presentation to help you understand the process. Each of these diagrams demonstrates the steps and stages involved in order to conform to the adjudication process. For each step, reference to the relevant section of the Act is provided.
You will need a PDF reader (like Adobe Acrobat – available here). Please be aware that these documents are a guide only and should not be used as the basis of a dispute.

If you are a claimant:
- Contract Validity – This flow chart will help you understand if your contract is covered under the BCIP Act.
- Payment Claim – This guide will help you establish if your payment claim adheres to guidelines of BCIPA.

Interest Rates
The following interest rate information refers to rate commonly used in QLD adjudication decisions.
- The Reserve Bank of Australia update information on a variety of interest rates, including the 90 Day Bill Rate which is commonly quoted in adjudication decisions. Click for a Schedule of Interest Rates.
