RICS Dispute Resolution Service is again presenting its highly successful BCIPA training course on 31 August 2012 which aimed at training industry practitioners in the operation of the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004. The training course is designed to provide a detailed and practical understanding of the Act.

Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Dispute Resolution Service is an Authorised Nominating Authority (ANA) under the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act 2004 (QLD).

RICS DRS Australia is the only body authorised to appoint adjudicators in all Australian jurisdictions with active security of payment legislation.

This training course is designed for building and construction industry practitioners representing suppliers, subcontractors, contractors, consultants, private and government organisations, property developers, owners and operators.

Stephen Pyman

Stephen practices in the field of building, construction and development law. He has in-depth experience in the construction industry spanning 21 years. He has extensive experience in pre-contract and tender negotiations, contracts and sub-contracts. He also has a depth of experience in construction litigation, alternative dispute resolution, mediation, arbitration and adjudication under the Security of Payment Act (NSW) and BCIPA.

Troy Lewis
Holding Redlich | Partner
Troy practices in the area of construction litigation specialising in claims, adjudications and appeals under the NSW and QLD Security of Payments legislations. Troy also has extensive experience conducting large scale litigation on behalf of both private and public clients, involving complex contractual and Trade Practices disputes.
